Charlotte Loeppky

Director / Artistic Director

This is Charlotte’s second season with Imagine, most recently co-directing ‘Love Letters’’ (2021) and ‘Gone to Glory’’(2022).  She is continually inspired by this creative team of performers, designers, supporters and lovers of theatrical art.

Directing credits include 18 years of middle school productions, including ‘The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Seussical’, ‘Alice’s Wonderland’ and many more.

In film and TV-land, she can be seen in ‘Hell On Wheels’, Tin Star’, ‘Ride’, Under the Banner of Heaven’, and ‘JOHN, 316’.  Memorable stage roles include ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’, August: Osage County’, Crazy for You’, Guys and Dolls’, ‘Godspell’, and ‘Brigadoon’.

She would like to thank Walter for lending his design mind to take abstract ideas and turn them into wonderful set pieces that actually work.

And to all who attend our shows, thank you for supporting this company - our “little engine that could”.

Charlotte in her own words . . .

My favorite thing about this show is the absolute privilege of working with artists who are truly passionate about this work.  I could not have asked for a finer cast and production team!

This story takes me away back in time, as I too, was a railway child, living near the tracks on the Saskatchewan prairie.  I love how the rails become a creative lifeline for these children, connecting them to ideas, places and people, and the themes of hope, kindness and community that help all of us through difficult times.
