Alexander Dayson as Peter

Alexander is a multidisciplinary artist, performer, voice over actor, and storyteller living in Calgary.  He is thrilled to be working with Imagine Performing Arts and this incredible cast and crew to bring The Railway Children to life!

Alex has been lucky enough to perform across Canada, spanning over 60 stage productions. Beginning his professional career at just 14, Alex has worked both on stage, screen and voice-overs for cartoons.

Alex was honoured to receive the 2016 Youth of Distinction Award for his work in Calgary Arts & Culture. Some of his favourite stage credits include: Matt Lloyd: A Pop Opera, Chip Tolentino in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (THC), LeFou in Beauty and the Beast, Nick in New Canadian Kid, Mr. Smee in Peter Pan (SBT), George Gibbs in Our Town (ST), and Emmett Forrest in Legally Blonde the Musical (CAST).

"One of the biggest things I'm learning from my role as Peter in The Railway Children is the love and bond shared between siblings. The trust, support, and alliance that Bobbie, Peter, and Phyllis have together are as wonderful as it is inspiring. Even when they bicker with each other and don't get along; they are always there for each other and have the utmost love and care for one another and their parents. As an actor, it is such a joy to work with Rosalind and Fiona on stage because I feel as though we have become as close as siblings. We have each other's backs, the same way Bobbie, Peter, and Phyllis do in the show!"

Alex wishes to send his extended thanks to his incredible Momma B, and to his friends for their never-ending support. He hopes his mom is ‘Proud of Her Boy’.

Enjoy the show!
